Metaphysics

Metaphysics

by Aristotle

Metaphysics is the collection of treatises by Aristotle that later editors grouped together under that title. Aristotle himself calls the subject first philosophy and defines it as the study of being as such, rather than of any particular kind of thing, and the inquiry into the first causes and principles from which everything else follows.
