Effect of pictorial cigarette pack warnings on changes in smoking behavior: a randomized clinical trial
A randomised trial led by Noel Brewer in which 2,149 adult smokers in California and North Carolina received pictorial or text-only warnings on their own packs for four weeks. Forty per cent with pictorial warnings attempted to quit against 34 per cent with text warnings, and 5.7 per cent against 3.8 per cent had stopped for at least seven days by the end. This is general information, not medical advice.
