Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Score Reliability Across Studies: A Meta-Analytic Reliability Generalization Study

The source that cuts against us, kept in the file for that reason. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator was put through a descriptive reliability generalization analysis to characterise the variability of measurement error in its scores across administrations. In general the instrument and its scales produced scores with strong internal consistency and test-retest reliability, with some variation. This concerns scales, not types, and it is compatible with the four-letter type flipping on retest, because a categorical cut near the median of a reliable continuous distribution still reclassifies people on small measurement noise.
