The interaction effects of online reviews, brand, and price on consumer hotel booking decision making
Wen, Lin, Liu, Xiao and Li ran two experiments on hotel booking in which price (high or low), review valence (positive or negative) and brand familiarity (familiar or unknown) were varied together. The cues interacted. The authors rank them by diagnosticity as online reviews first, brand familiarity second and price third. The second experiment tests perceived quality as a mediator between the cues and booking intention. The full text was not read.
